COMMUNITY EVENTS & EDUCATION


In addition to my artistic work, I serve as a co-director and project manager for the The Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo, a celebration of independent comics that takes place annually at Boston University’s Fullher Building. MICE features over 200 exhibitors, hands-on workshops, and panel discussions MICE is a free-to-attend event for comics readers of all ages excited to dive into the latest comics has to offer.
I also teach Digital Drawing at Boston University, as well as animation at SPOKE Art’s YouthSpeak program.
Some other community workshops I’ve run include my Color for Riso demo, which I have presented at Somerville Zine fest, as well as privately at my studio and for my students at Boston University. I also have a live docs for Risograph Printing Resources, and Finding and Artist Studio in Boston.
I have also moderated multiple panels, speciliazing in creatures that make comics special, such as Cats in Comics (2023), Bugs: Slimy Yet Satisfying (2024) and Robots: Friends, Enemies, or Lovers? (2025) and been a part of Boston Comic Art’s Hourly Comics Day Panel in 2025.
